Charity Hockey Game
The 8th annual Shocks & Saves® Charity Hockey Game is coming to the Dow Event Center on Saturday, February 7, at 4:30 PM.
An initiative of the Pulse3 Foundation, the light-hearted and fun-filled game is presented in partnership with SCA survivor (and Detroit Red Wings alum!) Jiri Fischer, Mobile Medical Response and the Saginaw Spirit. Former Red Wings and NHL greats come to town and take to the ice with area doctors and paramedics with a goal of making sure we are able to “shock” and “save” cardiac arrest victims.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the Saginaw Spirit at (989) 497-6506 or online at saginawspirit.net/groupsales.
Group ID: CPR
Tickets: $13-16. Includes admission to the Saginaw Spirit game.
Ask for a CHARITY TICKET when ordering and $5 will support the fight against heart disease. All charity ticket holders will also have a chance to win a Chicago Blackhawks jersey signed by Brandon Saad!!
Check out our online auction at BiddingOwl to bid on hockey memorabilia, gift packages and unique experiences. Win a prize and support a lifesaving cause. What could be better? The auction closes at 9 p.m. EST on Saturday, February 7.
Each year during the game, we honor local heart disease survivors and those who have saved someone's life with bystander CPR. Click here to read their inspirational stories.
Be a Hero
Save lives? Isn't that what paramedics, doctors and emergency rooms are supposed to do?
Yes they are! But when it comes to sudden cardiac arrest, the difference between life and death is YOU. By providing CPR immediately – while the ambulance is on the way – you or any ordinary citizen can double or triple the chance of survival of a teammate, neighbor, congregation member, fellow diner, nearby shopper, spectator or family member.
With the proceeds from our annual Shocks & Saves® Charity Hockey Game, we provide you with the tools you need to help save a life.
- LEARN CPR and how to use an AED – it only takes an hour and it’s free!
- DOWNLOAD the free PulsePoint phone app that alerts you of the need for bystander CPR simultaneous with the dispatch of MMR (currently only offered in Saginaw and Isabella counties). To install the PulsePoint app, simply search PulsePoint in the Apple App store or in Android Apps on Google Play. Tips: Select Mobile Medical Response, Inc. (MI) as your agency. Agree to receive CPR notifications.
- DOWNLOAD an application for an AED donation.
Make a commitment to help immediately while the ambulance is on the way. Start today!
